FW20 Trend: Velvet

During the last few years, velvet has been a must-have every fall winter season. It is a perfect elegant and sophisticated night look, that has taken over the daytime too! This trend is getting stronger and stronger every year as it fits perfectly into casual looks. Even though there was a wide variety of velvet dresses on the runway, with different cuts and lengths, there are also a lot more pieces that include velvet to give them a fashionable twist and reinvent the velvet trend! Some of these pieces are mainly suits, which find in velvet a new way to style the office look.

When it comes to party looks, velvet is for sure the classic but always right choice. It looks stylish, chic and it's a timeless trend. But designers try to level up the velvet look every year, by bringing it from night to day looks. High waisted trousers, skirts, or coats were presented in velvet during the Fall Winter 2020 Fashion Weeks.
